ANNA-KARIN KARLSSON MARKS 15 YEARS AS THE QUEEN OF EYEWEAR

From a Bond Street optician’s bench to the world’s most coveted optical counters, the Swedish visionary celebrates fifteen years of eyewear that has never once compromised, diluted or followed.

Anna-Karin Karlsson, the designer widely credited with re-inventing the category of avant-garde luxury eyewear, launches her fifteenth anniversary in Paris this September, during Silmo week, with a private showroom welcoming close industry friends by invitation only. The celebration then runs for a full year through September 2027, with further reveals, including a return to the house's founding archive, to follow throughout.

The results speak for themselves. Anna-Karin Karlsson eyewear now holds a permanent place in the world's most discerning optical and luxury retail floors, including Harrods, Selfridges, Bergdorf Goodman and Neiman Marcus, alongside independent luxury opticals across more than fifty countries. Her client list reads as a who's who of the culturally untouchable, with Beyoncé, Madonna, Jennifer Lopez, Lady Gaga, Mary J Blige, Rihanna and Winnie Harlow among those who have worn her work both on stage and off it. It is a following built without compromise or mass distribution, which is exactly the point.

Fifteen years in, the house's philosophy, "For A Life Less Ordinary", still reads less as a tagline than as instruction. Anna-Karin Karlsson is not a brand chasing a moment in luxury eyewear. She is a reason the category exists.

Anna-Karin Karlsson will mark the anniversary with a private, invitation-only showroom in Paris during Silmo week, 25 to 28 September 2026.
